Turn Up Early to See Dr Hughes

Every blog needs a heart-warming story. Here’s mine. Richard Hughes has recently retired as a GP after working for a medical practice in Portsmouth for 32 years. He must have made an impression. At his retirement, patients queued round the block to wish him well and to offer him gifts. His secret? He said that he tried to give patients the time they needed.

Clients at our office are equally appreciative of my services. One lady, when recently being offered a choice of 3 people to see, chose me. I was flattered. I must be doing something right, I thought, only to find that the lady had selected me because she said my Christian name was the same as her son’s. I’ll take whatever I can get.
