Magistrates, Crown Court & Court of Appeal
I have a date to attend court, what do I need to do next?
If you have been charged or summonsed to Court for a criminal offence, we can help you in the next stages of your case. We have expertise in representing those accused of all manner of offences, including murder, assault, fraud, theft and sexual offences, including child sexual offences and historic cases.
We can also represent you in relation to Trading Standards offences and Benefit Fraud prosecutions brought by the Local Council and DWP. We represent those who have cases in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts throughout Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
All you need to do is contact a member of the Crime Team on 01908 202150 with your Court date and we will advise you of the next steps.
I have never been to Court before, what will happen?
We will advise you of the Court processes and the likely outcome of your case upon receiving the full information regarding the offence. We will then advise and represent you at the initial, and any subsequent, hearings thereafter, if appropriate.
I have been sent to Crown Court, can you help?
Yes. As well as the Solicitors in the Crime department who have extensive experience of handling matters in the Crown Court, one of whom has their Higher Rights of Audience to be able to conduct Crown Court Advocacy, we have access to top Barristers and QC's from Chambers, together with strong links to forensic experts in a variety of fields, to provide you with expert advice and assistance throughout the Crown Court case and to ensure you do not just have 'equality of arms' but a bespoke defence team whose single aim is to achieve the outcome you seek.
I have been convicted but wish to appeal my sentence/conviction, can you help me?
Yes. We can assist you with appeals against decisions in the Magistrates Court and those made in the Crown Court. We have experience in appealing matters to the Court of Appeal and beyond. We will assist you with written advice from experienced Counsel on the merits of an appeal and represent you in any appropriate hearings.
I would like to speak to a member of the team, who do I contact?
Contact a member of the Crime Team on 01908 202150 and we will happily answer any questions you may have.
