The Woodfines’ annual Golf Day took place on a hot and sunny day in July this year and was once again held on the wonderful course at John O’Gaunt.
This year the day raised money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which is a charity close to the firm’s heart.
Motor neurone disease is a rare condition that progressively damages parts of the nervous system, leading to muscle weakness. Sadly at present, there is no cure.
Woodfines are delighted to announce that a fantastic amount of £1,618.70 was raised on the day for the charity and this money will be going to the local North Bedfordshire Group.
We were delighted to welcome Rita Beaumont, from the North Bedfordshire Group who attended our office in Bedford to collect the cheque. Rita and the team are thrilled with the donation and advised us that the money will be going towards the loan service offered by the charity, which allows valuable equipment to be trialed before it is ordered.
A huge thank you to everyone involved, and particular thanks to the players for their generosity on the day.
