On Saturday 2nd July, a team of ladies from Woodfines Solicitors, on St Cuthbert’s Street in Bedford, took on Cancer Research UK’s ‘Pretty Muddy’ event. The twenty-strong team of lawyers and staff tackled the muddy obstacle course head-on, and raised an amazing £2,750 for the cancer charity.
Team leader, Tina Jones, said: “We are delighted to have raised so much for this fantastic cause. We have all been affected in some way, directly or indirectly, by cancer, and the Pretty Muddy race gave us a way of fighting back.”
The ‘Woodfines Warriors’ were joined at the event by hundreds of other local ladies, all climbing, crawling or jumping though the 5k course on Priory Park. The team’s fundraising efforts have now been forwarded to Cancer Research UK, where it will be put to good use in the ongoing research of all types of cancer.
