Woodfines is pleased to announce new additions and promotions across the firm.
Martin Smith has joined the firm as a partner in the Commercial department and will be based in our Cambridge office. He is a seasoned campaigner with a wealth of commercial and corporate experience. He started his career at Lazard Brothers, and has worked for other leading firms such as Kleinwort Benson, Clyde & Co and Harbottle & Lewis. He has previously been a partner in well known regional firms and of late has been successfully running his own practice.
We are also pleased to announce that Jane Anderson has joined the firm as a solicitor in the Crime and Regulatory team in our Milton Keynes office. Jane graduated from Durham University before qualifying as a solicitor in 1996 with Batcheldors which later merged with Woodfines. She left Woodfines to join the First Law Partnership in 2005 to develop her criminal legal aid practice, during which time she established a strong reputation and client base in the local criminal courts; appearing regularly in the Magistrates and Crown Courts as a higher court advocate. The FLP merged with Cartwright King and Jane used her time there to expand her practice to include regulatory law but remained a committed court advocate.
Senior Associate Solicitor Nic Dino has joined the Cambridge Conveyancing team, having been previously based at our Bedford office. Nic is a specialist in all aspects of residential conveyancing, and prior to joining Woodfines in 2016 he worked for law firms in both Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. He completed his LPC at De Monfort University in Leicester and qualified as a solicitor in 2005, having been practising conveyancing since 2001. Nic brings with him a wealth of experience and a thorough understanding of the sometimes stressful process moving home can be.
We are also delighted to announce that as from 1st October 2017 Maria Koureas - Jones, Head of Dispute Resolution based in our Cambridge office and Suzanna Stephenson, commercial property solicitor based in our Milton Keynes office became partners in the firm and Michel Roche, commercial property solicitor based in Bedford has been promoted to Senior Associate.
