Legal Secretary - Family - Cambridge

We are currently seeking an experienced legal secretary to work within our dynamic team, based in Cambridge, on a full time, permanent basis.  The role will provide secretarial support to the Family team.

Skills Required:

  • Strong secretarial skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines
  • Willingness to work well as part of a busy, friendly team
  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Must have legal secretarial and Family Law experience. 

Daily Duties:

  • Carrying out a secretarial role to support Fee Earners
  • Assisting with a broad variety of administrative tasks, from audio typing to filing confidential client correspondence
  • Having direct client contact, via telephone, email and face to face
  • Ensuring departmental systems and firm-wide procedures are followed.

Compliance Officer - Bedford 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer to join our team.  The position is a full time, permanent role based in our Bedford office.

The role will provide support and assistance to the Partners and Practice Management in the monitoring and continuous improvement of compliance.  

Skills Required:

  • Sound knowledge and experience of working in Compliance within a regulated sector, ideally legal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Accurate
  • Effective communication skills.

Daily Duties:

  • Drafting, developing and implementing firm-wide compliance policies and procedures
  • Providing risk and compliance training firm-wide
  • Responding to compliance queries and providing advice firm-wide
  • Assisting in claims and complaints handling, maintaining registers and providing advice on mitigating associated risks.

Legal Secretary - Commercial - Cambridge  

We are currently seeking an experienced legal secretary to work within our dynamic Commercial team, based in Cambridge, on a full time, permanent basis. 

The role will provide secretarial support to the Commercial Team and will cover Commercial, Litigation and Employment.

Skills Required:

  • Strong secretarial skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure to set deadlines
  • Willingness to work well as part of a busy, friendly team
  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Experience as a legal secretary within one or more of the legal areas required is preferred.

Criminal Solicitor   

We are a regulatory and criminal law firm providing national coverage to individuals and businesses on a privately funded basis (we do not hold a criminal legal aid contract).

We are currently looking for an experienced Solicitor, ideally with a following, to join our team. The role will be a mixed role covering a broad range of Regulatory advice and assistance including Health & Safety, Environmental, Financial Crime, Transport compliance & Motoring. Experience in some of these areas is essential. 

Ideally you will have at least 5+ years PQE.

As we provide national coverage the successful candidate will be required to travel and therefore a full driving licence and the use of a car is essential.  We have four offices, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Sandy and Cambridge and this position can be based from any office.
