Bethany read law with the Open University completing her LLB (Hons) while working full time, she continues to study with the University of Law undertaking the LPC with a Masters. Bethany’s interests include debt recovery which is where the core of her experience lies, property litigation, professional negligence, contractual disputes, dispute resolution and all aspects of commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Woodfines in July 2017 as a paralegal in the litigation department, Bethany worked for a regional law firm where she was responsible for managing a team of legal assistants undertaking the legal work for one of the key High Court Enforcement providers. She was also responsible for the firm’s internal debt recovery, including resolving disputed bills, negotiating settlements, and issuing claims. In order to broaden her experience and knowledge base, Bethany also spent some time in conveyancing.
Bethany likes details and enjoys undertaking research both on specific points of law and in more generic terms such as the background of the opposing party.
Bethany has two young children and lives near Stansted Airport. She has two horses and enjoys spending time in the countryside or simply reading a good book, although she says most of her free time is taken up with further study or more importantly enjoying time with her children.
