- Transport: Charlotte has experience of matters involving all areas of operator licensing including repute and maintenance. She has particular expertise in providing assistance with financial standing and preparing for Public Inquiries before Traffic Commissioners. Charlotte is also able to provide pro-active assistance to operators (e.g. driver handbooks).
- Licensing: Charlotte has been involved in a number of complex cases concerning taxi licensing working with national businesses and cases involving the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
- Crime: Experience of working with individuals and businesses charged with a variety of offences including having been involved with a multi-million pound fraud, conspiracy to import firearms and sexual offences.
- Regulatory: Involved in a high level environmental and planning matter resulting in a judicial review in the High Court.
Charlotte completed her undergraduate law degree at the University of Hull, which included spending time working on a pro-bono programme in HM Prison Hull. Charlotte showed an early interest in the Transport sector at University and chose to study Shipping Law as an elective, in which she obtained a first. She went on to complete her postgraduate Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury, following which she worked at a local law firm in Bedford.
Charlotte joined Woodfines as a trainee solicitor in 2016 and qualified into the Crime and Regulatory department in 2018. She has a particular interest in the Transport sector.
Charlotte lives in Bedford and is training for the London Marathon in April 2019. She is a qualified PADI scuba diver and enjoys travelling. At home, Charlotte enjoys socialising with friends, dining out and going to the theatre.
