Mike is Head of Woodfines' Crime and Regulatory team, specialising in the representation of Individuals and Businesses against prosecutions brought by the Crown Prosecution Service, Trading Standards, Health and Safety Executive and other enforcement agencies. Mike specialises in Court and Committee Advocacy; Grave Crimes (Homicide, Fraud including multi-million pound fraud, Sexual Offences); Licensing (alcohol / SEV / taxi); Proceeds of Crime and Motoring Defence.
Mike also acts for those in the transport, haulage and distribution industry; advising on all aspects of Operator Licensing. He is a member of a regional FTA Freight Transport Council.
Mike started his career with the Crown Prosecution Service in 1990 before specialising in defending from 1995. He joined Woodfines in 2002 and became a partner in 2012.
Mike enjoys sailing, fishing and golf (especially the 19th hole!).
