Woodfines Announces Charities of the Year
Woodfines is proud to announce that the Bedford Blues Foundation, Jimmy’s Cambridge and MK-ACT have been chosen as its official charities of the year. Chosen for both their impactful work and close proximity to the firm’s offices, these partnerships reinforce the firm’s long-term commitment to supporting local communities. Woodfines will see employees across the firm get involved in fundraising events, community work and awareness building.
Bedford Blues Foundation is the charitable arm of the Bedford Blues Rugby Club, which uses the values of rugby to improve wellbeing, inclusivity and life skills for people across Bedfordshire. Their programmes support young people. vulnerable groups and schools through physical activity, education and community engagement.
Jimmy’s Cambridge is a charity that helps the homeless by providing safe, practical support to people who are rough sleeping in Cambridge. They offer accommodation, daily essentials, and long-term help so individuals can rebuild stability.
MK-ACT is a Milton Keynes based domestic abuse charity that supports over 100 families each day with crisis intervention, refuse accommodation, and specialist services to help people move from fear and abuse to safety and independence.
Woodfines aim to raise money over the next 12 months in support of the chosen charities through a number of fundraising activities and initiatives.
